Star and Planet Formation

Antennas of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) from Chile, the largest radio telescope of the world. ESO/C. Malin

We investigate the conditions under which stars and planetary systems form.

For this purpose we make use of world-class ground-based telescopes as well as space observatories. For the planing and the analysis of our observations we develop and apply state-of-the-art numerical simulations.

Students are always welcome to join our group during their undergraduate studies, to work on their Bachelor and Master theses.
