ITAP - Department of Astrophysics

Picture of the Department of Astrophysics (November 9, 2016)

The astrophysical department is focused on accretion physics. Thereby hydrodynamic transport mechanisms and radiative transfer are used.

The topics range from the formation of stars and planets and the habitability of the latter to the growth of supermassive black holes and their surrounding galaxies.
